NASCAR Fans Vote McReynolds Most Popular Driver

Charlotte, North Carolina – Although it is not the championship that Brandon McReynolds and the #16 NAPA Auto Parts team had hoped for at the beginning of the season, NASCAR’s announcement this week that McReynolds had been voted the 2014 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West’s Most Popular Driver, was exciting news for the young driver who categorized the season as “a solid start.”  “The fans are the heart and soul of our sport,” McReynolds said, “and to have them vote for me as the most popular driver in our series this year, it is a real honor.”

McReynolds, who finished the NASCAR K&N season with two poles and thirteen top-5 finishes, was a crowd favorite throughout the year.  “He is just the type of guy that you can relate to,” said Jake Hanson, a NASCAR fan who voted for McReynolds, “no matter how a race goes or what happens out on the track, he always seems to be one of the last guys to leave the track.  Whether he is posing with fans for pictures or giving autographs, he just seems to have a great appreciation for all of the fans that come out to watch him race.”

McReynolds is currently in discussions regarding his 2015 plans, but is hopeful that his schedule will include both a return to the NASCAR K&N Series, as well as a partial season in NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series.  “In our sport, it is all about corporate partnerships and surrounding yourself with the right people,” McReynolds said when asked about his 2015 plans, “I know that our entire team is focused on developing the partnerships necessary for us to continue to progress up through the NASCAR ranks and I look forward to working with both our existing and new partners as we build for next year.”
